Police report, Round-the-clock traffic in and out of an Englewood housing complex drew enough attention for residents to call police, who busted a neighborhood woman for running a brothel from her apartment through online advertisements.
Dionne Stubbs, 30, was released on bail after Englewood detectives, assisted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad, arrested her yesterday aftenoon on charges of prostitution and maintaining a house of prostitution.
Police initially grew suspicious after a “robbery-related call at her residence,” Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.
Then came complaints from complex residents of “round-the-clock” foot traffic of what some called “undesirables,” Torell said.
Detectives then discovered that Stubbs was advertising online, he said.
“Rock Creek’s population is overwhelmingly occupied by good and law-abiding people, but there’s a small element in the complex, in conjunction with individuals from outside the area, that we are focusing diligently on in order to get the quality of life to the level it should be there,” Torell said.
“It’s important for the residents to know that this arrest is part of an ongoing process,” he said.
Now if you know about the heavy streets of Atlanta, you know where you can find such enjoyment if you know where to look.
